Get rid of wrinkles, eye bags and dark circles
Fix Your Skin Looking Younger ...
Everyone knows the importance of keeping our bodies fit by regular exercise such as running, swimming or hitting the gym. Regular exercise can also keep our eyes healthy and minimize eye strain, but a different kind of exercise should be done for the eyes. Here are some of them.
• First, sit comfortably in a chair and briskly rub your hands together. Once your palms feel warm, close your eyes and cover them with your cupped hands. Do not apply any pressure on your eyeballs – just place the palms lightly so that the nose is uncovered and the eyes are behind the hollow of your palms. Do this for about three minutes while breathing deeply. Repeat as often as you want.
• Second, tightly close your eyes for three to five seconds. Afterwards, slowly open your eyes for another three to five seconds. Repeat this exercise about eight times to help relax your eyes.
• Third, close your eyes and slowly and gently massage them with circular motions using your fingers. Make sure that your hands are clean and that you are not applying too much pressure.
• Fourth, place three fingers against the upper eyelids. Hold your fingers in place for about two seconds, and release slowly. Do this exercise five times.
• Fifth, sit in a chair in a relaxed position. Roll your eyes clockwise then counter clockwise five times per day. Make sure you blink in between each eye roll.
• Sixth, sit approximately 15 centimeters away from a window. Make a small mark on the glass at your eye level using a small sticker (preferably in red or black). Look through the small mark you made and focus on something else farther away for about fifteen seconds, then focus on the mark you made again.
• Seventh, hold a pencil at arm’s length. Move it slowly towards your nose, following the pencil using your eyes until they lose focus. Repeat about 10 times.
• Eight, focus on the opposite wall in front of you. Pretend that you are writing using your eyes, without turning or moving your head. You may have a hard time at the start, but you’ll get better in time. Try to make bigger and bigger letters as you go along.
• Ninth, imagine that you are right in front of a huge clock. Look at the middle of the clock, and then look at any hour mark without turning or moving your head. Look back at the center, and then look at another hour mark.
• Tenth, focus on any distant object (that is less than 50 meters away then slowly refocus your eyes on a nearby object (that is less than 10 meters away). Make sure that the two objects are in pretty much the same direction. Repeat 5 times.
• Eleventh, focus your eyes on any distant object (as low as you can) that has a low contrasting background. Do this for a couple of minutes throughout the day.
• Lastly, do up and down eye movements, followed by left to right eye movements. Do this several times in a day.
These simple eye exercises are not meant to give you 20/20 eye vision, but to help keep your eyes as healthy as possible. Make sure that you treat your eyes with care and concern since it is difficult to imagine life without them.
